Our Footprint for a Green Environment

Hareer Foundation for Community Development launched “Our Footprint for a Green Environment” initiative out of its strong belief in the importance of environmental protection and sustainability, and its commitment to contributing to the expansion of green spaces across the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

About the Campaign

The initiative aims to plant and reforest underutilized areas, as well as hospitals, health centers, universities, public parks, and other locations, in order to enhance the surrounding environment, improve quality of life, and raise awareness about the importance of preserving natural resources for future generations.

This initiative was launched in alignment with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein – may God protect him –, which calls for planting one million forest trees across the Kingdom’s governorates by the year 2030, as part of national efforts to combat climate change and protect the environment.

Through this initiative, Hareer Foundation has implemented planting and reforestation campaigns across various governorates from the north to the south of the Kingdom, with the active participation of volunteers and members of the local community. These efforts aim to strengthen environmental responsibility, promote collective action, and create a sustainable positive impact on both the environment and society.

“Our Footprint for a Green Environment” is not merely a tree-planting campaign; it is a message of awareness, responsible behavior, and a practical step toward a greener and more sustainable Jordan.
