Hareer for Community Development is a Jordanian non-profit organization established in 2018, dedicated to community development, volunteerism, and humanitarian service.
Hareer works to support vulnerable children and families through psychosocial support programs, humanitarian initiatives, and community-based activities that promote dignity, inclusion, and social solidarity.
The organization focuses on children facing difficult circumstances, including children battling illness, orphans, refugees, children with disabilities, and underserved communities. Through sustainable initiatives and partnerships, Hareer seeks to create safe spaces, empower communities, and enhance quality of life.
Among Hareer’s key initiatives is The Wig of Hope, which provides natural-hair wigs free of charge to cancer patients, helping restore confidence and emotional well-being during treatment.
Since its establishment, Hareer has implemented diverse humanitarian programs, volunteer initiatives, and national campaigns aimed at strengthening community engagement and creating lasting social impact.
Hareer aims to be proactive in the exemplary initiatives list to provide free-of-charge psychological support and entertainment for cancer patients specifically, and for children’s society in general. It also intends to provide the wig of hope for free to as many children and women as possible who are suffering from hair loss because of cancer. Because the number of patients increases annually, Hareer aims to raise social awareness about cancer and find appropriate solutions to resist and overcome it, hoping to achieve this vision locally, regionally and globally throughout Hareer’s various villages and buildings by 2040. Moreover, Harrer focuses on bringing a positive effect to one thousand children a year.
