Under the patronage of Princess Karama, the Hareer Foundation launches the “Salwan Al Amal” campaign with a Ramadan breakfast for children from Gaza in Jordan.

The Hareer Foundation for Community Development launched its first Iftar (fast-breaking meal) of the holy month of Ramadan as part of its Ramadan campaign, “Salwan Al-Amal” (Consolation of Hope), under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Karma bint Abbas. This event marks the beginning of a series of humanitarian and developmental initiatives implemented by the Foundation during the holy month, reaffirming its mission to spread hope, promote solidarity, and solidify the concept of effective community partnership.

The Iftar was held at the Abdali Boulevard Hotel, managed by the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), and targeted more than 50 children from the Gaza Strip who came to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for medical treatment following the recent war. This humanitarian initiative reflects the depth and historical significance of Jordanian solidarity with its brothers and sisters, and aligns with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and his continued commitment to supporting the people of Gaza in all circumstances.

During her attendance at the Iftar, Her Royal Highness Princess Karma bint Abbas expressed her delight at participating, saying: “I am very happy to be with you at this blessed Iftar. I pray that God protects you and fills your hearts with happiness, and thank you to everyone who contributed to bringing smiles to the children’s faces. May you all be well every year.”

This Iftar marked the beginning of the “Salwan Al-Amal” (Consolation of Hope) campaign, which will not be limited to the capital but will include a series of Iftars and humanitarian activities in several governorates across the Kingdom. This will ensure a wider impact and that initiatives reach various local communities, reinforcing the concept of equitable access to support and solidifying Hareer’s presence as an active development partner nationwide.

The foundation was keen to provide a warm Ramadan atmosphere, interspersed with entertainment segments and purposeful psychological and social activities. These contributed to bringing joy and reassurance to the children’s hearts, giving them a safe space of support and hope. This message emphasizes that humanitarian support is not limited to material aid but extends to psychological recovery and strengthening feelings of dignity and belonging. In this context, Mr. Nihad Dabbas, Director General of the Hareer Foundation, emphasized that the Ramadan iftars organized by the Foundation are not merely a seasonal event, but rather an integral part of Hareer’s vision for building a cohesive and interdependent society. He affirmed that these initiatives contribute to supporting the local community by strengthening partnerships with national institutions, engaging youth, and encouraging volunteer work, which has a positive economic and social impact across various governorates.
